One of the reasons things fell apart so completely with this project last year, is that I ended up spending an incredible amount of extra time at work. For a number of reasons it was a really bad year at my workplace, and that led to my taking on a lot of extra duties, and my completely ignoring my own needs in the process.
So, this year, I have committed to myself that this won’t happen again. Sure, I might sometimes need to do some extra work. That’s what happens when you take on a role of more responsibility. However, on a regular basis, I shall be attempting to leave basically on time, and shall be avoiding bringing work home as much as possible. Yes, I’ll have to have better time management while there, but that’s all to the good as well.
