3. Run 10km

In 2010, I did the learn to run program outlined by Run for Life.  It was great.  I did the work by myself.  I had a huge sense of accomplishment.  I capped it off by running with a friend in the 5km at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon.

I’ve always loved watching marathons.  The people’s determination and huge sense of accomplishment are visceral, and incredible.  You get a high just watching them.  Sometime I’d like to participate.  But, I know that it took them years of hard work to get there.  So, this year, I’d like to work up to a comfortable 10km.  Then, perhaps, in 2012, I can work toward a half marathon.  That is a longterm vision.  In the meantime, I’m excited about the prospect of running a 10km.
