5. Read a Giller Nominee

I’ve spent the last few years reading almost exclusively new Canadian YA books for the OLA Best Bets committee.  As such, I’ve completely ignored most of the great new Canadian writing that’s been coming out for the adult market.  I’d like to expand my Canadian literary culture awareness by reading at least one of this year’s Giller nominees.
