8. Weed my home library

So I’ve got 5 bookshelves.  I’ve got stacks of books on top of the shelves and in random places around and about.  I’ve never even looked at a lot of the ones that I sort of came by in one place or another.  They are basically a fire hazard.  Time to let some of them go.

January 15

I failed to take pictures before I packed things in my car, and put things out in the recycling, but I’ve made a good start!  Looking only at the one shelf in my living room, and partially at the two in my dining room, I managed to get together two bags of books to take to either the sale cart or the prize stash at the library, and a recycle bin full of things that were, for instance, terribly written uncorrected proofs that ought never to see the light of day.  I had some really terrible stuff on my shelves!  And, I had some good stuff that I’ll probably never read again, but which other people might enjoy.   So it is going where they might find it!  Hurrah!

Still quite a bit to do on the two shelves in the dining room, and I haven’t even touched the two in the bedroom, or the stacks of random books hanging about in other untoward locations.
